The people of Lovran, but also the inhabitants of the Opatija Riviera and even Kvarner, call it guc (Lovran guc or "Lovranka"), although according to the typology she belongs to gajeta. The boat, such as the Lovran guc "Don Ćićo" from Cres, has a rounded bow, an oval stern and a high and beautifully executed continuation of the stem, the so-called “nose”. The bow is decked up to 1/3 of the length of the boat, and at the stern it has a transverse thwart which continues into two longitudinal thwarts that connect at the stern. This boat has one mast and is rigged with the main mainsail and a jib. In history, these boats were used not only for fishing, but also for tourist trips between Opatija, Lovran and Mošćenička Draga. Today she is used for the promotion of the Kvarner maritime heritage and participation in events and regattas of traditional boats throughout the Adriatic.
