This shipyard was the biggest shipyard of sailing ships in Liburnija area.
Opis
The Ika shipyard was located on the shore on the south side of the Ika Bay. The shipyard built smaller and larger wooden ships (primarily sailing ships) and small wooden boats for numerous clients from Rijeka, Bakar, Lovran, Senj, etc. The almanacs with the data about the number of employees in the Ika shipyard show the kind of shipyard it was. It can be seen that in 1887 there were 27 employees (2 shipbuilders, 2 managers, 8 carpenters, 4 master builders, 2 drillers, 4 sawyers, 2 precision carpenters and 2 ship blacksmiths), in 1888 there were 17 employees, etc. The shipyard ceased operations in 1905/1906.
