Opis
The Klešković family tomb is located in field B, section 3, number 41 (B-3-41). The tomb was made for the Clescovich family by the Rijeka stonemason Pietro Cuchetti in 1885 as a neo-Romanesque stone chapel with meticulously carved decorations of the main façade decorated with horizontal gray and white stone slabs, a series of blind arcades of larger dimensions, wreaths of plant and flower motifs, stylized shells, half-pillars and architraves. All decorative details are carved extremely richly and create the impression of stone lace. The central protrusion, in which the portal and the lunette are located, ends with a three-aisled gable topped by a larger statue of angels with folded arms. Three friezes of wreaths of different floral patterns are carved in shallow relief. The portal is rectangular, framed by half-pillars, corner consoles and an architrave. Above the portal there is a lunette with a pointed arch within which there is a larger rosette with the family name and the year of construction. The interior of the chapel has seven burial places and a massive stone mensa with a large profiled cross. It is a tomb of value and protection regime of the 1st category. Marin-Sebastijan Klešković (Clescovich) (1777 – 1859) and his son Luigi (1826 – 1889) were buried in the tomb.
