Between the wars, a square three-storey building was built with the use of reinforced concrete connected to free public warehouses within the Port of Baroš on the former Karađorđe pier. It had business premises on the first and second floor, and a residential part on the upper two. The Port Authority building has three façades, with an entrance on the main, western, undecorated plastered façade facing the port waters. The south façade has a side entrance on the ground floor under the porch, above which there is a stair tower with an exit to the roof terrace.
