Barque Descovich A. was co-owned by the Dešković family and Kazimir Negovetić. This was the largest sailing ship by Anton Dešković, who built her in co-ownership with his compatriot and long-time ship master, the captain Kazimir Negovetić. Initially, the co-ownership relations were as follows: Descovich Antonio from Mošćenice/Rijeka co-owner with 16 shares, Descovich Antonio Enrico from Mošćenice/Rijeka with 4 shares, and Kazimir Negovetić from Mošćenice/Rijeka had 4 shares. According to 1891 ship register, the shares were as follows: Descovich Antonio Enrico di Antonio, Fiume (9 1/3 carats), Descovich Giovanni fu Antonio, Fiume (5 1/3 shares), Descovich Natale fu Antonio, Fiume (5 1/3 shares) and Negovetich Casimiro fu Vincenzo, Moschienizze (4 shares). Barque Descovich A. was built in 1861/62 in the shipyard of the famous Sušak shipbuilder Josip Baćić Belac in Pećine. She was entered in the new register of ships on 3 May 1880, with the register number 1062. The ship's call sign was JDRQ and she had 11 crew members. The ship was 37.60 m long, 8.49 m wide and 5.59 m high. The tonnage of the ship was 539 rt, and after the re-survey 440 rt. After the ship was rebuilt and measured in 1891, her dimensions were corrected. The length of the ship was 37.27 m, width 8.60 m, and height 5.60 m. The tonnage of the ship was 421.12 grt and 379.24 nrt, and she was riveted with iron and copper. The ship was sold on 14 March 1895 in Marseille to a French citizen. The first master of the ship was the co-owner himself, the Captain Anton Dešković, and then for three years Captain Kazimir Negovetić, who was the master intermittently, almost until her sale in 1895. In the meantime, the captains Vinko (Vincenzo) Mohović from Kraj, Mate Glavan from Podvežica, who spent nine years on board, Anton Dešković from Kraj and Rikard Ravasini from Rijeka took turns. According to the register of ships, the master of the ship in 1891 and 1892 was Descovich Antonio fu Constantino from Mošćenice (Moschienizze), then in 1893 and 1894 Negovetich Casimiro fu Vinzenzo from Rijeka and in 1895 Ravasini Riccardo di Alessandro from Rijeka (Fiume).
