Lovran guc "Lovorka", registration number OP 704 from Lovran, is 5.50 m long, 1.80 m wide, with a draught of 0.60 m. This boat was built in Lovran in 1972 by shipbuilder Franko Sirotnjak. Today she is owned by Pjerina Dekanović from Lovran. Lovran guc is a boat of fine curved lines created in Lovran. The people of Lovran, but also the inhabitants of the Opatija Riviera and even Kvarner, call her guc (Lovran guc or "Lovranka"), although according to the typology she belongs to gajeta. This boat has a rounded bow, an oval stern, and a high and beautifully executed extension of the stem, the so-called “nose”. The bow is decked up to 1/3 of the length of the boat, and at the stern she has a transverse thwart which continues into two longitudinal thwarts that connect at the stern. Lovran guc "Lovorka" has one mast and the boat is rigged with the main mainsail and a jib. In history, these boats were used not only for fishing, but also for tourist trips between Opatija, Lovran and Mošćenička Draga. Today she is used for entertainment, promotion of the Kvarner maritime heritage and participation in events and regattas of traditional boats (since 2014).
