Guc, registration number OP 267 from Medveja, is 5.10 m long, 1.60 m wide, with a draught of 0.30 m. This boat was built in Lovran in 1945 by the famous Lovran shipbuilder Ivan Nino Gašparinić. She was owned by the famous fisherman Nevi Malinarić from Medveja. Lovran guc is a boat of fine curved lines created in Lovran. The people of Lovran, but also the inhabitants of the Opatija Riviera and even Kvarner, call her guc (Lovran guc or "Lovranka"), although according to the typology she belongs to gajeta. This Lovran guc has a rounded bow, an oval stern and a high and beautifully executed extension of the stem, the so-called “nose”. The boat is specific because that she does not have a deck like other Lovran guc boats, and at the stern there is a transverse thwart which continues into two longitudinal thwarts, connecting at the stern. This boat has one mast and is rigged by the main dipping lug sail and a jib. Today she is used for small fishing, leisure, promotion of the Kvarner maritime heritage and participation in events and regattas of traditional boats.
