Opis
The Marine Meteorological Center in Rijeka issues weather reports that include storm warnings, synoptic data and weather forecasts for seafarers and citizens for the North Adriatic. The national coordinator in the Republic of Croatia for meteorological information is the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service from Zagreb (DHMZ), which includes the Marine Meteorological Service for the Adriatic with its headquarters in Split (Marine Meteorological Center). DHMZ performs professional tasks of monitoring hydrological and meteorological processes, collecting, processing and publishing meteorological and hydrological data; atmospheric and water resources research and various applications of meteorology and hydrology in the fields of climatology, maritime meteorology, agrometeorology, aeronautical meteorology, spatial planning and design and other applications. DHMZ manages a network of meteorological and hydrological stations and centres and develops them as well as national databases in the field of meteorology, hydrology and air quality.
