The Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka preserves the painting of the Brig Ludmila and the barque Carmella by Bartol Ivanković from 1872, oil on canvas, PPMHP 100441. The painting shows typical sailing ships from the end of the 19th century. The sailing ship on the left has two masts and three jibs on the bowsprit. Other smaller sailboats can be seen in the distance between the bows of the two sailing ships, and a steamer is running at the starboard quarter of the barque Carmella. The brig Ludmila was built in Rijeka in 1852. She had 412 registered tons. The first owner was Agnesi Antonio from Fužine, who sold her to Nikola Polić twenty years later. Apart from Ivan Dešković, the masters of the brig were Ivan Dešković, Rijeka, Josip Večerina (Draga), Amadeo Pollich (Kraljevica), Anselmo Sepich (Bakar), Francesco Marghetich (Kostrena), Vincenzo Pollich (Kraljevica), Giuseppe Domenico Tarabocchia (Mali Lošinj).
