The sailing ship Mimi is one of the sailing ships of the famous fleet of Andrija F. Poščić from Volosko. She had 496 rt. The Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka keeps a painting of Poščić's fleet by Bartol Ivanković from 1870, oil on canvas, PPMHP 100032. The painting is dominated by a group of sailing ships owned by Andrija Poščić from Volosko. The barques Dampier, Matilda, Mimi and the brigantine Andrić are shown. They are located in front of the port of Rijeka. Four large sailing ships, all carrying Austro-Hungarian flags, stand out in particular. The barque Mimi (according to some data Mimi P.) was co-owned by the Pošćić family. The co-owners were Clara Mohovich, nee Pošćić from Volosko with 5 shares, later Bacich Antonia, nee Mohovich from Volosko (from 1891 to 1898), Poschich Andrea Francesco fu Andrea (Fiume) with 13 shares and Poschich Carlo fu Andrea (Volosca) with 6 shares. The ship was built in Rijeka (Al Fortino) in 1864/65. The ship was 41.30 m long, 8.56 m wide and 5.85 m high. After the survey in 1893, the dimensions of the ship were the following: length 41.28 m, width 8.58 m and height 5.83 m. Ship tonnage was 496 nrt, and after the second survey 489 grt and 446 nrt. The ship was riveted with iron and copper. The ship call sign (the so-called nomination) was JMRT. She was entered in the new ship register on 14 November 1884, with the register number 5260. The ship had eleven crew members without a master. The barque was run by Giacich Vincenzo Antonio, Tominich Giuseppe, Tominich Nicodemo all from Lovran and Prischich Luca fu Antonio (Lovran) and Bassich Francesco di Cosmo (Costrena, SL). The barque Mimi has not appeared in the ship register since 1899.
