Plovput doo is a limited liability company 100% owned by the Republic of Croatia whose core business, in accordance with the Maritime Code and the Plovput Split Act, is related to safety of navigation and as such of strategic interest to the Republic of Croatia, and includes: maintenance and regulation of navigable ways in the internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia; installation of navigation safety facilities on waterways in the internal sea waters and the territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia and ensuring their proper operation; performing radio service activities on the maritime waterways of the Republic of Croatia and performing research and design for the purpose of performing activities from its range of operation. Navigable areas are organizational units that, in defined areas of the territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia, perform maintenance of maritime signaling facilities, associated equipment and devices and devices that are an integral part of the maritime radio service, as well as lighthouse service at maritime lighthouses and maritime radio service. It calculates fees to ships for the use of safety facilities. Lower organizational units operating within navigable areas are coastal radio stations and electro-mechanical workshops. The branch of the company Plovput in Rijeka takes care of the navigable area of Rijeka, which includes maritime signaling facilities located within the area from the junction of Cape Ubac (exclusively) – coastal light Galijola, and then in the direction of 225° to the open sea to the junction Cape Vrutak on land – Cape Lun (island of Pag) – the islet of Grujica (exclusively), and then 225° towards the open sea.
