Framed saws operated by a single man. Typical tool of shipyards and of builders of oars and oarlocks "forcole" (remèri), to perform cuts of medium-small length. The hemp rope, stretched in the upper part of the frame by means of a wooden handle that also served as a block, acted as a turnhandle to tension the iron blade, fixed in the lower part of the frame.
