The Kraljica Mora (Queen of the Sea), a motor sailing ship of the logger type, the first training ship in independent Croatia. The ship is intended for the education of pupils and students of maritime schools and faculties. The programme for financing the construction and use of the training ship was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Croatia in mid-2007 due to pupils/students studying in maritime schools and faculties. She was designed at the Brodarski Institute in Zagreb. The operative launch was performed on 13 November 2009 at the Montmontaža – Greben shipyard. The Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure entrusted ship management services to Jadranski Pomorski Servis dd Rijeka. In March 2013, Jadrolinija Rijeka took over the management of the ship. The Queen of the Sea is a training ship of the "logger" type, a motor sailing ship with two masts, 35 meters long, 8.55 m wide, 2.65 m draft. She can take 28 students, 4 teachers and 7 crew members. She has a tonnage of 298 gross tons and a speed of 6 and 11 knots, depending on whether she runs on sails or with an engine respectively. The value of the ship with additional works is about 37 million kunas.
